A review of Office Angels by ExJobSeeker written on Tuesday 13th of October 2015
I don't usually read or write reviews, they are often just a meaningless subjective knee jerk reactions but sometimes the public just has a right to hear. I applied for a job advertised by this agency & quickly had a call back. I didn't usually deal with agencies during my time as a jobseeker (thankfully now over) but the first lady I spoke to seemed quite sharp/clued up. She asked what kind of position I was looking for and the next day I had a call back to say they had a position near to me that matched my experience. I took time off work to go in and register. I sat waiting a long while for an interview and I had to put up with a receptionist constantly whining to her colleagues about a cold - a professional impression in front of a client..? I was finally interviewed by a very slow minded lady who obviously couldn't understand my very clear/professionally prepared CV and yet she was interviewing.. During the next few day's I had numerous calls from Office Angels (every time I called back I had to put up with an unprofessional/ignorant attitude from a receptionist when I called back), at the start of one call I was asked "why did I call you?.." and an unintelligible slur left on my voicemail. I was later told that the job I was being put forward for had been withdrawn. My girlfriend is a recruiter and she later mentioned that I didn't have the required experience for this job (very specific experience in the finance industry). Office Angels used this job as bait to get me down to register with them. They cost me time and money. This is an objective review - take it how you will.
