"Old Traditional Bike Shop"

A review of Bob Warner Cycles by Greg-the-Grey written on Saturday 7th of February 2009

The title may seem unflattering, but this Bike Shop is perhaps one of a small handful of fast disappearing ”true” bike shops. Whilst you won’t find necessarily top range componentry like those in “Julies Cycles”, the prices are extremely competitive. For example I bought an inner tube from Bob Warners for £3, and the exact same item cost £4.50 in “The Bike Park”. I have also managed to get difficult to get second hand parts to repair my bike, where otherwise I would have had to change a whole set of componentry, for the sake of a worn out “widget”. Beware the shop is rather cramped, but that adds to its charm. Also sold are everyday household accessories. I even bought a traditional mop and metal bucket, not the plastic rubbish you get in Wilkinsons!.
