Nice to see that the football ground sent some marshals out today to try and solve the traffic issues caused when events on at the ground.

yes it was a little bit better but still did have a long tail, back of traffic blocking Lambourne rd and Blenheim rd whilst trying to find parking. And as all ways some inconciderate drivers still parking across the pavement and on both sides of the Blenheim rd as well. Not good as will only allow single flow of traffic. And poeple with push chairs or blind persons unable to get through past the cars.

So some suggestions for the meadow lane club to think about and put in to action and see if it works any better,

If there is not enough parking available then need to find parking . so have a word with the coop and see if they would allow some spaces on there car park to help out. worth a try or locate other source of parking in the area, when football ground has lack of space, i am sure some drivers will have no problem with a minor walk to the ground, well some do not mind others just need to park as near as poss as hate walking.lol.

and if you have a person at the end of Lambourne rd with a sign telling drivers to carry on down wanlip lane and turn right on to dalby ave and then right on to Blenheim rd then onto the meadow lane to be instructed where they can park up. Thats for in coming traffic. When the cars leave they can turn left off meadow lane and either left on to lambourne or right that way they have two exits on the lambourne rd out. So means the both directions of traffic will not pass each other there for stopping the road blockage we have had for so long.

But you will need to instruct all who come to your events how to be curtious to residents and pedestrians in how they park,

The residents are happy that events are on for the kids and others etc but when it makes life not very nice for them due to bad car drivers then it not nice. so hand out leaflets and put on your site information for the incoming persons to the site. instructing the car users where to park and which route to take and not to park causing obstruction or harm or injury in the making etc,

so hope you will take all into concideration and see if you can improve the traffic situation for the residents and the foot ball ground as well. So look forward to see if things can be sorted for all concerned. .
