"Do GP's actually still exist @Merridale?"

I'm thoroughly frustrated by my inability to get an appt with my GP to get the results from a recent x-ray - i am in considerable discomfort but have been informed that I cannot see my GP til wednesday 16th June (thats a week next wednesday) i can however see any number of nurse practitioners, oh but only if i ring again and book 48 hours before: although there are appointments available, they are locked by the practice manager til 48 hours before! this 48 hour system may work for the long term unemployed or those on other benefits - but is not satisfactory to those of working long fixed hours and with busy work diaries booked weeks ahead (yes some of us do still work in leicester)

this coupled with reception staff who sound like something from little britain makes my experience of Merridale not a happy one!.
