Asra Residents Fun day
Thursday, 3 April 08.
Over 50 children and their parents attended the resident’s fun day organised by David Cartwright and Harry Lal of Asra Midlands Housing Association.
There were different games for all children which included Easter Egg decorating, Play Bus, the highlight of the day was a penalty shoot out for to raise money for Sports Aid, Asra Midlands Housing Association, the landlords of the estate agreed to pay to Sports Aid £1 for every goal scored. There were 133 penalties taken by children of all ages, 90 saved and 43 scored.
Sam Gamble, one of the residents of the estate said that it was an enjoyable day for all the children and brought the community together.
