"Does the telephone system work ?"

Have been trying to get through to receptionists for almost an hour, we just go round and round in circles pressing 2, then back to the options as the line is busy, then press 2, then back to the options, then press 2, then back to the options, (get the picture?)I could be old and grey before I speak to a human. Is the surgery really that busy? do they need to put in more telephones? does the telephone system work at all. OK I give up, I will go to the walk-in-centre..
