"Appalling service at the Bike Pedlar, Uppingham Road, Leicester"

After taking my bike to the Bike Pedlar to have a good look over my bike because it was not working properly,he advised me I needed several parts replacing which would cost me between £45 and £50, I left my bike in good faith to be repaired. When I went to collect it the following day he told me the bike was as good as new,although the price had increased to £60,which I reluctantly paid, because he had not contacted me beforehand to advise me of the price increase. After riding the bike home I thought the pedals were a bit stiff,the back wheel was shaking and did not feel safe. I went back to ask him to put it right but he told me the back wheel would need replacing which would cost me another £40. If he had told me that the repairs would cost me £100, I would have just cut my losses and bought a new bike. Now I have an unroadworthy bike after having paid out £60 which he is refusing to do anything about. Is he a con-man or just incompetent? I wouldn't advise anyone to use the Bike Pedlar on Uppingham Road, Leicester. .
