"Lemon Splits"

I am 74 years old and have been enjoying these buns for a lot of this time. Lately I have noticed several 'changes'. Last week the buns were of a different type of dough (yellowy) the cream was beaten too much and was nearly butter., the lemon icing is now smeared on, as though they could bear to give you more. These are most probably cost saving exercises but I hope they don't kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

Has anyone else noticed the changes?
