"Problem unresolvable by Phone when 1500 miles away"

Faced with being informed that I had recieved an "Urgent Information required" in 10days letter whilst I was away in Europe not returning for 7wks. I promptly contacted Customer Services. Following 4 calls and hrs on the phone speaking to very nice people they were unable to offer a resolution to resolve the problem of my being unable to produce and submit evidence for transactions on my account ( which are in locked filing cabinet in UK some 1500 miles away) because there wasn't one! Has this never arisen before? Advised to write to head office.I have done but it won't save my account being frozen because I haven't complied in 10days.

Frustrated of Cornwall..
